The week went by real fast as we continued to work on our math, reading, writing conjugation and other skills. Next week will be even more exciting, though it will be a 5 day week rather than a 4 day one. :)
This week we will learn about the verb finir and in the meantime, we will have a quiz on the verbs être and aller. See below what the students are expected to know. Again, I will read a short sentence for each pronoun and the students will need to spell and conjugate the verbs correctly.
Être:
Je suis
Tu es
Il / Elle / On est
Nous sommes
Vous êtes
Ils / Elles sont
Aller:
Je vais
Tu vas
Il / Elle / On va
Nous allons
Vous allez
Ils / Elles vont
Here are the songs to help us remember.
Être
Aller
This week we also started the Netball program that was organized for our students. Every morning they start with a little bit of exercise, which is amazing.
Coming up, we will also have a Right to Play assembly on Thursday morning. If you want to find out more about what Right to Play is, please visit this website: https://www.righttoplay.ca/en-ca/
Ash Wednesday Liturgy:
As mentioned below, we will be responsible for the Ash Wednesday Liturgy on March 6th and all the students have a reading part. I have given them their sheets and have asked them to practice at home too. It shouldn't be difficult, but in case we get stage fright, having practiced is what can save us :). PRACTICE! PRACTICE! PRACTICE!
Spring Variety / Talent Show:
Last week we sent home a flyer about a talent show coming up. Please make sure the form is returned by Feb 28th for consideration in the show. The show will take place April 11th from 6:30 - 7:30 PM. Here is the form in case it did not make it home :)
