Back to school on a snowy day! - Oct 9

Hope everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving.  We had an energy filled day today with lots of energy to spare at the end still. :)

Unfortunately, we did not get to do as much as we planned because of the weather causing morning delays, but we did have our sharing circle with many tales of the Thanksgiving weekend.  We also talked about the problem of the week.  It was a bit more challenging than the previous ones, so I will be putting up a solution.  I will also go back and put up a solution for the others :).

We continued to write in French about being a superhero and we also looked at a short scientific video about worms.  We learned a little more about the Rocky Mountains and before we knew it, we were wrapping up the day with a practice of Flash Card subtractions.

For the Rocky Mountains, I asked the students to look for videos or pictures (just a couple) to show what they did or saw in the Rocky Mountains.  If we work well, we should be able to put together a personalized portrait of Alberta with all our photos included.  I know many of our photos are digital now, so the final format may be digital too.  I will see based on what we get back from the students.  Either print photos or digital are fine.

Reminders:
- Please return Field trip forms for Swimming lessons in November (It's coming up sooner than you think :))
- Please also return Sacrament form (indicate which sacrament if any your child will be registering for this year)
- Mathathon pledge forms should be returned by Oct 29.  I am working on the math questions already :)
