Did winter just arrive? - Oct 2

Ok... so October arrived with a bang :).  We certainly got more snow than we ever bargained for. :)  Certainly made travel today a bit challenging.

With only twelve students we still had a busy day.  We continued working on patterns and looked at how we can represent them visually.  We learned about beat in music and we finished our worksheets on the verbs avoir and être. The afternoon was mostly Hymn sing and Phys-ed.  Well, much of the day was also just getting into the right snow gear to brave the mountains of deep snow waiting for us outside. :)

Thank you Xavier for the morning prayer. Next up is Myla. :)

Raz-Kids Assignment:
For this week, I have assigned three(3) books.  Students can continue to read the English books too and earn stars that way.  Thank you for the recordings so far!  Today, in class, we talked about many of the challenges faced so far.  I am hoping that many are now resolved. :)
The page for Raz-Kids is: www.kidsa-z.com.
The teacher login is: maria0

Mathletics:
Please note that Mathletics accounts have been set up for students and login information is now in the front of their Agendas.  If anyone wishes to try it at home, you are welcome to.  We will try to use it in class as well to support our learning of math concepts through fun math games.  More information will be sent home next week.

Challenge of the week:
A soccer ball flew right onto Mme. Kiss' back.  3 suspected culprits were called into the principal's office for investigation.
Shawn: "I did not do it!"
Andy: "Not me! But I saw Shawn kick that shot."
      James: "Andy lied."
One of them told the truth.  Who kicked the soccer ball?
Remember that you have to bring a written solution to the problem to get a sticker!!!!
