Books for any age! - Oct 10

Today, while it was a busy day with lots of activities, especially involving physical education, we also found time to start reading two wonderful books spanning almost a century.

In French we started reading "Le petit prince" written by Antoine de Saint-Exupery.  This book was written in 1943 during the second world war which gives us the opportunity to not only learn about this beautiful story but to also learn a little about history.

In English we started a wonderful story written in modern times (2012): "Wonder" by R. J. Palacio.  This book talks about a student who is facing adversities that many of us would have difficulty even imagining.  While this book is telling of a serious story, it certainly does not lack in humour :).  We had a great deal of giggles while reading it today.
