Nonetheless, we got some work done.
After Sharing Circle this morning, we started on Math right away. We did a bit more rounding practice using dice and then went into solving addition problems using our newly acquired rounding skills.
We then had a quick look at the video I posted under Chansons. This is a video where Frère Jacques is sung in 17 languages. We also sang Frère Jacques in French but in rounds. We certainly sounded good.
We wrapped up the morning with some French finishing some work on Déterminants. We will look at these a bit more in-depth so that we can build a solid foundation on how to use them properly.
In the afternoon we finished watching the Lego movie, talked about whose parents have glued their Lego sets together (Mme included :)) and we wrapped up the day with the reading of Wonder. If you have the book at home, please send in a copy with your child as this will help them find answers to questions as we read through the book.
As mentioned in the title, this week is Bullying Awareness Week and tomorrow is World Kindness day. Here are a few websites to inspire. We will be talking about these tomorrow and for the rest of the week. All this ties in real well with our book: Wonder.
