Although we got working real well on our math problems, we did stop today to practice our recorder skills and to talk about the Christmas Concert for this year in Music. More detail will be coming soon.
Following recess, we learned a bit more about déterminants, but we also started learning how to take notes in class. So far we have been working on developing our reading, writing and arithmetic skills, but we have not put much emphasis on being able to take notes during class. We will now be working on developing this skill throughout all the subjects.
In French we also finished the book on Viola Desmond. Everyone was very interested in hearing her full story as no one has heard of her before.
Finally, we wrapped up the morning with a bit of Religion by going further into depth about Prayer and the traditions and rituals associated with Mass.
After lunch we started looking at Simple Machines in Science. We will be using these in the next little while. We will also be wrapping up our Waste and our World unit soon. We will be doing some cross-curricular work with English on that and therefore we will have two science units running in parallel.
Finally, we finished the day with a bit of Mindfulness with Mme Annie, and reading of Wonder in ELA. We are almost halfway through now.

Please have the cards in by Nov 22 as although the deadline is November 23 the Pony only takes mail on Tuesdays and Thursdays! Should the students wish to submit a card then I can send home a release form.
