Bonne fin de semaine! - Sept 14

Well, another week has gone by.  A very busy week :)

Today the students did their spelling tests and we also had Green Calgary visit us.  The presentation was amazing and we learned a ton.  The students got to think like Engineers and had to design landfills that would be Eco friendly (not let leachate leak into the ground, not let animals eat the garbage, and even consider solutions to the leachate buildup and methane gas being produced by the garbage.)   This was fun, educational and the students worked incredibly well within their teams.

We even got 1/2 lb of worms in a blue bin.  They are now resting and getting used to their new home.  We will get a chance to look at them for the first time on Sept 24th.  We need to give them time to feel comfortable :).

We are all very eager to see them, but I am sure time will just fly by with everything we have planned for next week.

PUZZLE FOR NEXT WEEK:
A farmer wants to cross a river and take with him a wolf, a goat, and a cabbage.

There is a boat that can fit himself plus either the wolf, the goat, or the cabbage.

If the wolf and the goat are alone on one shore, the wolf will eat the goat. If the goat and the cabbage are alone on the shore, the goat will eat the cabbage.

How can the farmer bring the wolf, the goat, and the cabbage across the river?
(DO NOT GOOGLE THE ANSWER!!!!!!! :))

HAVE A WONDERFUL WEEKEND!
