REMINDERS:
1) Spelling tests (both in French and English) tomorrow - please review the words.
2) Try the math challenge. We will be talking about it. (Sum of two numbers is 80, difference is 12, what are the two numbers?)
3) Green Calgary visiting us tomorrow at 10:50 AM (slightly earlier)
GREAT NEWS:
1) We will also have a worm bin coming tomorrow, from Green Calgary, that we will keep in our classroom for the rest of the year. This is really exciting as we can care for the worms and learn about the wonderful things they do for our environment (vermicomposting).
2) FIELD TRIP - We will have a Field trip on Sept 20th to Fort Calgary to explore science topics that we will be covering this year with the help of Beakerhead (Engineered Spectacle Tour). The students will get the opportunity to explore a variety of ways of learning about these topics (Waste and our world, simple machines and plant growth). This experience is available only once a year, so we are really lucky to be able to take part in it.

More information about the Field Trip:- It will be outdoors, so kids should dress accordingly for the weather (praying for no snow)
- Students should have in their backpacks: water bottle, snack, lunch, and medication if needed)
- The bus will leave the school at 10:30 AM and will return at 2:30 PM.
- Unfortunately, this trip falls on a Sammy's pizza day, so the kids who ordered pizza will get them at the end of the day. If you could pack a lunch that the kids could eat easily for that day, it would be greatly appreciated.
- I will also need at least two wonderful parent volunteers for the day! Parent volunteers should be at the school by 10:15 AM. Thank you in advance
