What a busy day... :) - Sept 17

Today the day went by so fast, it was incredible.  Everyone worked well today so I was very impressed.

IMPORTANT DATES:
- Sept 18 - (tomorrow) - Mass at 10:00 AM (dress a bit nicer :))
- Sept 20 - (Thursday) - Field Trip
- Sept 20 - 21 - Parent teacher conferences - please sign up for a spot if you have not done so already.
- Sept 21 - Volunteer orientation
- Sept 21 - Scholastic orders due

Please return field trip forms if you have not done so as we are now getting really close to our departure date and I really don't want anyone missing this amazing opportunity.

Please make sure that your child has layers of clothes that they can put on if they need or take off if we are lucky and the weather is nice.  Also, please pack them snacks and a lunch that is easy (i.e. not messy) to eat on the go.

Thank you to our volunteers.  I look forward to working with you.

OUR SONG OF THE WEEK:
We did not get a chance to listen to this song, but it's very related to the work we are doing on waste and our world.  Listen to it if you get a chance. :)

LIBRARY (LEARNING COMMONS):
We went to the Learning Commons today and got some books (1 French and 1 English.)  Please help your child read 20 minutes every night.  If they can do 20 minutes in French and 20 in English, that would be even better.  We have not started the incentive program yet, but we'll start soon.  Daily reading helps build vocabulary, comprehension, fluency in reading and writing and even helps with problem solving.

Special Thanks:
Thank you Xavier for showing us your fish.  It is a really interesting one :)
